This is my 180 song.  One night, I was weary of the same old struggles and kicking myself for not being farther along.  The lie that was hanging on me was “Why try?  You’ll never change.”

And like usual, God swooped in quick (via a couple good friends), reminding me of truth: His grace is sufficient.  His mercies are new every morning.  They really are.  You are making progress.  God is proud of you.  So are we.   I literally did a 180.  Hope came alive, and I was ready and willing to get back on track.

I hope “New Day” radiates all that truth and hope God gave at a time I really needed it.  Amidst our same old struggles and fears, God gives new strength, new resolve and new hope.  Our stumbles need not hold us down.  We can always have ridiculous, wonderful hope for growth and new life.

Every day offers a new smile from God.  Now that’s motivating.
