WORLDS COLLIDE
BB Notes
When writing this song, I was fed up with duplicity in my life. My divided heart was ready for change. I knew something had to give. So I threw it all into the light. It was risky and messy… and the catalyst for change.
I suppose making the "title track" a downer is unusual? Oh well. I chose "Worlds Collide" for a few resaons.
Mostly because it's real, and that's what I feel compelled to be about these days. For any of us, it's easy to be divided. And it's scary to put things into the light that are hidden. Besides, secrets seem to serve us well... but not truly. I'm learning that real freedom and peace with ourselves and God is only found in the light. When I took risks of exposing things that were causing my heart to be divided, it caused friction and sparks with people who were surprised at my behavior. That was uncomfortable yet good as it forced me to make some decisions. You see, once things are out in the light, it's hard to put them back in the dark again. It changes forever. It helped me move forward. And I definitely found out who my friends were! Oh yeah... and shame disappears in the light

.
Since authenticity, restortation and new life are themes of my life and much of this record, it seemed fitting that "Worlds Collide" be the title. Also "Mission Bo" and my work in Africa - talk about worlds colliding! After all that, "Worlds Collide" is just kind of a cool title, don't ya think?
Enjoy the song. Be brave. Don't settle. I'll try to practice what I preach.
Lyrics
I lost track of me along the way
With all these broken parts I try to play
Desperately divided
I live a shattered life
Let my worlds collide
(Come together, crash into each other)
Let my worlds collide
(Can you ever bring me back together?)
Let the sparks fly, hear my heart's cry
Let my worlds collide
Light the secret corners of my heart
Reveal the lie that's tearing me apart
Rescue me, remind me
There's nowhere left to hide
Chorus
Savior, healer
You are I Am
See me, the real me
Come and make me whole again
Chorus
